Limited Edition Wave Necklace
 
This hand painted necklace is 1/20 in the Limited Edition range of this painting.
 
Made from an original, large abstract painted, this design concept was created during my micro residency at the Art House, Wakefield.
 
I create large, abstract paintings, inspired by my immedaite environment. The paintings are often bold, bright and textural. 
 
I then carefully select aspects of my paintings to turn into jewellery and in doing so destroy the original painting. Sometime parts of the original painting are selcted and framed. Each limited edition piece of jewellery is unique and can never be re-created.
 
This particular necklace is created from the painting 'Wave' and is a run of 20 pieces of jewellery made from the original image.
 
The dissected painting is mounted on a piece of laser cut, birch wood. Laser cut in the UK from responsibly sourced birch wood.
 
The painting is cut to fit the semi circle shape entirely and then sealed under a protective enamel layer. 
 
Attached to a necklace chain with lobster clasp fasten, available in bronze plated, silver plated or sterling silver. Necklace chain length is 45cm (18") necklace chain length can be altered upon request.
 
Pendant size H3cm x W 6cm x D 3mm.
 
Colours may vary slightly. Please avoid direct contact with water. Regular chain polishing will help prevent tarnish.
